The Yule Log Parade, which began in 1949 pays tribute to the true spirit of community that makes McAdenville stand out during Christmas. Arrive to town early on Thursday, December 12 to line up at 100 Main Street near the Yule Log on a vintage sled. Singing will begin at 5:30PM.
The Tradition
Another of McAdenville’s most beloved traditions is the Yule Log Parade, which began in 1949. After a trip overseas where Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Pharr attended a yule log celebration, they brought the idea of this community gathering back to McAdenville.
The townspeople, adults and children alike traditionally meet in front of the Pharr Office in Downtown Mcadenville to join in the parade led by a local high school band. The log is pulled through our historic downtown to the Memorial Yule Log Fireplace at Legacy Park and placed upon the fire with great exuberance!
