The primary duty of the seven-member Planning Board is to provide for and guide the orderly growth and development of the community. The Planning Board has regular meetings on the 4th Thursday of every month at 6:00 p.m. at McAdenville Town Hall.

The Board of Adjustments is the body established to hear appeals of decisions rendered by Zoning Administrators, interpret unclear provisions in the zoning ordinance, decide on applications by landowners to permit buildings or land uses which vary from the zoning regulations. Comprised of five members from the Planning Board, cases are heard following the Planning Board Meeting at 7:00 p.m.

Members are appointed by the Town Council and must reside in the Town. When a vacancy occurs, the resident interested in filling a seat on the Board will need to complete an application.
